Music DirectorAdam Ali

Adam Ali is a native New Yorker. He began his piano studies at age six with his grandmother, attended the Prep Division of Mannes College and Fiorello H. LaGuardia School of the Arts, and then studied at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College where he obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He has been serving as pianist and music director since 2013 at Grace Baptist Chapel. Adam has given several solo and chamber music performances throughout New York City at several concert halls. He loves music, enjoys working with Grace Baptist Chapel, and anticipates a great future for the music ministry at Grace Baptist Chapel.

DeaconWinston O. Farnum

Winston O. Farnum is from Barbados, living in New York for many years. He is a Christian and a member of Grace Baptist Chapel where he has been serving as a deacon since November 2009. During these years, he has observed that it is not about the title but about service to God. He learned that this ministry involves wearing many hats, experiencing different challenges, but he acknowledges that through faith in and dependence on God, he can both fulfill his vocation and face any challenges. Hence, he finds great pleasure in serving God in the vocation of a deacon, in the hope of bringing honor and glory to God.

Board of Trustees - ChairpersonVoris Walker

Voris Walker is one of the founding members of Grace Baptist Chapel. As a Christian, she understands herself as a servant of God who makes it possible for her to serve in various areas of the church, including Sunday School, the music ministry, and Women’s Fellowship. Presently, she serves as the chairperson of the Trustee Board. She regards this opportunity as a privilege and honor in working with God to build the Kingdom. She loves singing and reading, has a deep interest in children and young adults, and cares for the wellbeing of the church.

Pastoral/Mental Health & Grief CounselorElaine Reid-Salmon, MA

Elaine serves as the Pastoral/Mental Health and Grief Counselor of Grace Baptist Chapel. She is a graduate of Adelphi and Fordham Universities. She is passionate about this vocation which she believes is a call from God. She also provides oversight and leadership of the administrative affairs of the church. In addition to teaching, she enjoys working with others and offering hospitality, and seeks to secure the welfare of God’s people.
